Study and Evaluation Reports

Case studies and evaluations have been done on the SAFE program in many countries.

The main objectives of these studies were to:
1. Conduct a tracer study of the graduates of the SAFE programs,
2. Identify, analyze and elaborate key components of the SAFE programs,
3. Identify and assess key impacts of the programs, and
4. Provide recommendations for developing and implementing sustainable SAFE-type programs.

These reports focuses on the experience of the respective country in launching and running an innovative Bachelors Degree program in Agricultural Extension as well as the perception of the graduates from the program about the relevance of the program, utilizations of knowledge and skills they had gained in their current jobs and their professional development.  The results of this study show that the mid-career B.Sc. degree program have made a modest contribution to the agricultural sector principally through upgrading the technical and human relations skills of experienced mid-career extension staff working with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development
